Technical Parameters

A958 Iron Oxide Sulfur Recovery Catalyst adopts special activated alumina as carrier with proprietary additives, delivering dual functions of Claus catalytic activity and deoxygenation protection. It features excellent Claus performance and effectively eliminates trace oxygen in process gas, shielding downstream catalysts against sulfation poisoning.

A958 can be packed independently in a single reactor or laid on top of activated alumina catalyst beds, taking up 1/2 or 1/3 of the total catalyst filling volume. Insensitive to fluctuating working conditions and excess SO₂/O₂ in feed gas, it is ideal for low-load facilities or units with frequent dramatic load variations. Under identical equipment and process parameters, the overall sulfur conversion rate can be boosted by around 1.7%. It is specially designed for sulfur recovery units with high H₂S concentration and wide feed flow fluctuations.

A958 has been widely applied in numerous industrial plants, and field operation data fully validates its superior comprehensive performance.
