Main Application Fields for A918 Activated Alumina Catalyst

High-end Petrochemical Industry:

It performs exceptionally well in sulfur recovery units of large refineries and ethylene production facilities. For example, after adopting the A918 catalyst (combined with other sulfur recovery catalysts) in a 150,000-ton/year sulfur recovery unit at a coastal petrochemical base, the SO₂ emission concentration in the tail gas has remained steadily below 30mg/m³-far exceeding the national standard.Meanwhile, the annual sulfur output has increased by 1.5%, achieving a win-win situation for environmental protection and economic benefits.

Modern Coal Chemical Industry:

Targeting high-sulfur tail gas generated from coal-to-methanol and coal-to-olefin processes, the A918 catalyst efficiently converts complex sulfides (such as COS and CS₂) into sulfur through hydrolysis-Claus synergistic reactions. After application in a coal chemical enterprise, the tail gas desulfurization rate has risen to 99.2%, reducing solid waste emissions by approximately 2,000 tons per year.

Natural Gas Purification Industry:

It is suitable for the purification of high-sulfur natural gas (H₂S content >40%). In its application at a natural gas purification plant in the Sichuan-Chongqing region, the A918 catalyst can withstand frequent operating condition fluctuations, ensuring the sulfur recovery rate remains stable above 98.5%. Additionally, it reduces equipment energy consumption by about 12%, aligning with the requirements of green energy development.
